To prevent any loss in performance during extended periods of hard driving, AIRTEC has developed a larger, freer-flowing intercooler as a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM unit. Designed to deliver consistent cooling on fast road and track applications, it features a wider, taller, and deeper core that fits neatly within the limited space behind the bumper.
The new design offers a 158% increase in overall capacity and a 30% larger frontal area compared to the factory intercooler, dramatically improving cooling efficiency and airflow. They deliberately chose not to use a full-height design to leave room for a future oil cooler upgrade, opting instead for a deeper, wider core that balances maximum performance with long-term upgrade flexibility. Inlet and outlet sizes have also been increased from 55mm and 59mm to 65mm and 70mm, improving flow by nearly 20%.
Finished in a durable powder-coated black finish, the intercooler features high-flow, cast end tanks, an internal air diverter for efficient flow, and comes as a direct-fit kit with Pro Hoses silicone connectors, fixtures, and detailed fitting instructions. The result is a significant boost in cooling performance and reliability.
