The Mocal OTSP1X Thermostatic Oil Cooler Sandwich Plate is a proven and reliable solution for installing an external oil cooler system while maintaining optimum oil operating temperatures. Manufactured from high-quality cast aluminium, it is designed for durability and dependable performance in both road and motorsport applications.
Featuring an integrated thermostat, the OTSP1X automatically controls oil flow to the oil cooler. During cold starts, oil bypasses the cooler to help the engine reach operating temperature more quickly. Once the thermostat opens, oil is directed through the cooler to help regulate temperatures and protect the engine during high-load and high-temperature conditions.
Ideal for performance, track day, and competition vehicles, this thermostatic sandwich plate helps prevent overcooling while ensuring consistent oil temperature control.
Please note: This sandwich plate is suitable for engines fitted with metal spin-on oil filters only and is not compatible with paper element or cartridge-style oil filter housings.
