At Matt Lewis Racing Ltd, we aim to make returns and refunds as straightforward as possible. This policy explains your rights and how to return products.

1. Customer Rights Under UK Law

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, when you buy goods online you have the right to:

  • Cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods
  • Return the items within a further 14 days
  • Receive a full refund for unwanted items (excluding original delivery costs unless otherwise stated) if returned in accordance with this policy and UK law.

This means you may have up to 28 days in total to send the item back after delivery, depending on how long it takes you to post it once you’ve notified us you want to return it.

2. Returns for Change of Mind

Eligibility:

To be eligible for a refund or exchange:

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and with original packaging intact.
  • Returns must be initiated within 30 calendar days of delivery.

Return Postage:

  • Unless the item is faulty or incorrect, return postage costs are your responsibility.
  • We recommend obtaining proof of postage and using a tracked service.

3. Returns for Faulty or Incorrect Items

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, we will:

  • Offer a full refund, or
  • Arrange a replacement

Faulty items should be reported within 30 days of delivery, using the form below. Refunds for faulty items will include original delivery costs.

Your rights for faulty goods are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which gives you additional rights beyond this policy in certain circumstances.

4. How to Return an Item

When submitting the form, make sure to provide all of the information requested

If the item is faulty or damaged, you can also email photos when submitting the form to help us process your request faster.

5. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are typically processed within 48 hours of us receiving and inspecting the returned item.
  • The refund will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Depending on your bank or payment provider, the refund may take an additional 3–5 working days to appear in your account.

6. Items That Cannot Be Returned

For safety or performance reasons, the following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Used or fitted parts
  • Products without original packaging
  • Special‑order or customised parts
  • Electrical components not proven faulty

If uncertain about a specific item, contact us before purchase or before returning.

7. Exchanges

If you’d like to exchange an item (e.g., for a different part or size), please contact us first. Exchanges are subject to availability and may require an additional payment or refund depending on price differences.

8. International Returns

International customers should contact us before returning items. Return options and processes may vary by country. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
