The Sytec FPR006 Filter King combines a fuel pressure regulator and in-line fuel filter in a single compact unit, designed specifically for carburetted fuel systems. It allows fine adjustment of fuel pressure to suit carburettor requirements, typically around 4 psi, ensuring stable and reliable fuel delivery.
Most electric fuel pumps generate excess pressure, often in the 6–8+ psi range, which can overwhelm carburettor float needle valves, particularly at idle or low engine load. This can lead to fuel flooding, poor running, or leakage. The FPR006 regulates this pressure down to a safe, consistent level, helping maintain correct fuel flow under all operating conditions.
When paired with the Sytec FPG001 low-pressure fuel gauge, fuel pressure can be accurately monitored and adjusted, ensuring optimal tuning and system reliability.
The unit features a serviceable filter element that is inexpensive and easy to replace, while the transparent glass bowl allows for quick visual inspection of fuel condition and filter cleanliness, making maintenance straightforward.
