The Issue;
Chargecooled engines rely on coolant temperatures to maintain optimal performance. Standard systems can struggle to keep temps under control, particularly on tuned or high-performance applications. To achieve consistently lower running temperatures, the system’s capacity and cooling efficiency must be significantly improved.
The Solution;
AIRTEC Motorsport’s upgrade addresses the limitations of the stock radiator by extending the core forwards, creating a triple-pass design that allows coolant to circulate through the radiator three times before exiting. With a thickness of 90mm, the radiator now holds 23.3 litres of coolant, compared to the original 7.7 litres – a massive 203% increase in capacity.
Despite the size increase, the radiator fits neatly behind the bumper with no modifications required, using OEM mounts and original coolant connectors. A protective stone guard is included to safeguard the larger core in its exposed front position, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.
