Freshly developed at AIRTEC HQ in the UK - the Stage 2 front mount intercooler kit with an integrated crash bar design, created for modified S1's seeking the ultimate in cooling performance, power, and reliability for track or fast road use.
The intercooler features 60mm inlet and outlets that flow through bespoke CAD-designed end tanks into a single-pass stepped core measuring 80mm to 60mm deep. By integrating the crash bar, the design maximises the use of the entire front grille area for improved airflow while retaining the original towing eye feature. The result is a huge increase in both surface area and internal volume compared to the factory setup, providing dramatically reduced charge temperatures and reliable cooling for cars running over 500bhp.
Despite its increased size and performance, the intercooler fits neatly behind the original bumper with no major modifications required. The complete kit includes laser-cut mounting brackets, all fixtures and fittings, and a replacement silicone hose for the headlight washer jet, ensuring a simple, direct-fit installation.
Please note: Cutting to lower radiator surround is required to fit. Integrated crash bar replaces the stock crash bar – Not declaring modifications can void vehicles insurance.
