Our Story & Motorsport Roots
Founded in 2003, Matt Lewis Racing grew from a lifelong passion for cars and motorsport into a trusted supplier of big-brand performance parts. Based in the village of Abinger Hammer, just outside Dorking in Surrey, we serve car enthusiasts across the UK and worldwide with performance parts, advice, and fast service.
Our roots run deep in motorsport. Over 20 years ago, Matt competed in the Stock Hatch racing series, gaining real-world experience on the track and learning what it takes to build and maintain competitive performance cars. During this time, Matt also made strong connections with leading parts suppliers - relationships that go back decades and still benefit our customers today. That background continues to shape the way we work; supplying only parts we trust, with quality that performs both on the road and at the track.
Experienced Team & Real-World Passion
We’re a small, trusted team with hands-on experience in all kinds of performance builds. Between us, we’ve owned Clio Cup cars, Porsche 944 track cars, and classic icons like the 3-door Cosworth. We’ve taken part in track days, modified our own cars, and we use many of the same parts we sell - so we know what works and how it fits.
Before launching MLR, Matt worked extensively in the motor trade with time spent at Ferrari, sharpening his skills in vehicle mechanics and tuning. This background gives us the knowledge to help customers make informed choices. We're more than just a retailer, we're enthusiasts who understand the challenges of sourcing the right parts and building reliable performance cars.
