Delete the Flex

Factory rubber bushes are soft for a reason: your auntie's daily commute. They're not built for B-roads, boost, or anything resembling fun.

Stop Wasting Torque

BMW built the E9X to deliver serious torque to the rear axle. Then they fitted an open differential that treats grip like a suggestion. The moment one wheel loses traction on a tight corner exit, a damp roundabout, or a hard launch, the diff sends almost all your torque to the slipping wheel. The loaded outside tyre sits there doing nothing. The power you paid for disappears into wheelspin and DSC lights.

The factory diff is the bottleneck nobody talks about. It is why your 335i can roast the inside wheel in third on a damp road while the tyre with all the weight and grip is ignored. Every time the traction control blinks, that is torque being thrown away.

Blackline replaces the open diff with a helical gear limited-slip differential with a 5:1 torque bias ratio. Under power, the gear mechanism automatically biases torque to the wheel with the most grip, up to five times more than the inside wheel. The outside wheel drives. The inside wheel hooks up. The chassis stops fighting itself and starts putting the power down.
